Railroading on the Wabash Fourth District
Author Victor Baird has received more than a few accolades for his new book, "Railroading on the Wabash Fourth District".
This 320 page, hardcover book is a scholarly history of the Wabash line that ran out of Montpelier, Ohio, across Northern Indiana to Chicago, (including Wakarusa). But about half of the book is in the own words of railroaders and other folks that remember the railroad. Victor has included much researched text here but also hundreds of glossy photographs (mostly B&W), plus diagrams, maps and timetables. Included is a postscript chapter to provide an update to present day after the Wabash was leased to Norfolk & Western in October 1964, and a large index.
More information on the book or book signing dates are available on his website, www.erstwhilepublications.com, where purchases can also be made.
